Sheila Ring, Story Time The Martin Monsen Regional Library offers wireless internet access, fiction and non fiction books, audiobooks, periodicals, dvd's/videos, reference materials, and a variety of other library resources.

All materials can be checked out for three weeks except for the following which are checked out for one week: dvd's/videos, periodicals and library equipment.

Internet access Computers are available for in-house use. There is no charge for the usage. Due to the seasonal demand for internet access a library patron's computer time can be limited. There is also a "text only" printing policy.

There are also fees for faxing, printing and to make copies. Please check with a library staff member for the current fees.


How do you get a library card?

Whether you are signing up to use the Main Library in Naknek or its Branch Library in South Naknek. Just stop by the library with a Photo ID and fill out a registration card. Non-residents are required to submit a cash deposit. Please check with a library staff member for the current deposit rate.

All Resident and Non-Resident Library card holders and their signature means that they accept the following:

  1. You accept financial responsibility for repairs, or replacement costs for items borrowed under your name.
  2. You must return all overdue items, before checking out additional items.
  3. That library materials may be renewed if (a) they are not grossly overdue, (b) other patrons are not requesting that particular library item.
  4. There are limits to how many library items are allowed for check out on your patron card.
  5. You will notify the library should you have any changes made to your name and address.
  6. Your library card privileges may be revoked or limited if you do not abide by the above card holder requirements.

How do you receive your deposit back?

The Deposit is refundable provided the patron has returned all checked out library items and the items received were not damaged.

Prior to the non-resident's departure from the Bristol Bay Borough the library patron must pick up their deposit in person. Otherwise the deposit will be considered as a donation towards the library program.
