- Call to Order: The Special Assembly Meeting of January 8, 2005 was called to order by Mayor Michael S. Swain, Sr. at 10:14 a.m. The meeting was held in the Assembly Chambers of the Borough Building, Naknek, Alaska.
- Roll Call: Present: Assembly Members Shelby Boothe, Eddie Clark, Russell Phelps And Carvel Zimin, Jr. Absent: Mel Coghill, Jr.
Also present: Mayor Michael S. Swain, Sr., Borough Clerk Betty Bonin and Interim Manager Fred Pike.
- Business: A. Bristol Bay Borough Manager's Position - Applicants:
1. Executive Session to Discuss Personnel: SHELBY BOOTHE MADE A MOTION TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS PERSONNEL AT 10:15 A.M. RUSSELL PHELPS SECONDED THE MOTION AND IT PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. The Assembly reconvened at 11:46 a.m. with the same members in attendance. Mayor Swain stated they discussed Personnel, in particular, the Manager Search. NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. The Assembly came up with two lists of candidates to be interviewed. On the first list, the individuals they would like to interview would be: Fred Pike, Erie Johnson and Mark Earnest. If the first list didn't work out, the second list would be: Gene Kane and David Chevez. Mayor Swain would like the Borough Clerk to see if these individuals are still interested in the position and set up interview times.
Mayor Swain stated that no one has been eliminated as a candidate for the Borough Manager position at this time.
